Allen`s Clam Bar in Tuckerton

Great little place, food was excellent and fresh. We had the oysters Rockefeller, perfect!! Crab cakes were great, no filler all meat. Scallops were tender and excellent. Will be back.

Nice small place with excellent seafood. Bring your own wine / beer. We never miss stopping here when traveling through.

The food was fresh, had the combo sea food platter. Server was friendly and food arrived qui kly ans was hot. I saw a lot of senior locals, which means they have a local following. I will be going back

If possible, this place was even better than the last time we were here. Very good seafood. We found the venue to be clean.

Really fresh tasting seafood. Some of the best I've ever had. I usually go to Oyster Creek but I may have to switch now. Just be forewarned though that it is BYO as far as alcohol is concerned. But a great place nonetheless.

I’ll start off by saying the food was served on paper plates. We went as a family of four and everyone’s food was bland. There were only customers in their 70+ years old and it seems that’s who they cater to based on the flavor of the food. The seafood did not seem fresh. If you are from a big city or are accustomed to trying different seafood restaurants I would not recommend this place.

Absolutely fantastic. Finally stopped in tonight on my way home for work. Ordered the fried seafood combo to go. Perfectly cooked flounder, shrimp, deviled clam, clam strips and scallops. All as fresh as could be. Very full dining room but had my order in no time. I will definitely be back. And soon!

Great family style restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the food was all very good. The oysters and clams on half shell were excellent. Their calamari with banana peppers and balsamic was excellent. Really interesting flavors. Service was very good. Will come back next time I am in the area.

Allen's clam bar was a quiet spot that we found on a day's trip in the pinelands. It was a great place with really good seafood. I ordered the crab cake sandwich which was amazing! They have a small outdoor area which my boyfriend and I sat due to the lovely weather! This was a unique little find along our travels. Would recommend to anyone and everyone who loves seafood and wants good seafood!

For a clam bar we were pretty disappointed in the clams. They were fine tasting but weren't separated from the shell well and there was a fair amount of shell pieces. Everything we had tasted fine.

The service is awesome. The interior is stark. The food is top notch. The crab cakes are 95% jumbo lump crab meat, very little filler. The soup is homemade, excellent. I drive 55 miles to eat the crab cakes and soup.

Down home fresh seafood. Placemat menu and paper plates and plastic wine glasses if you bring your own beverage...

Not as good as it used to be. Clams and Oysters are way too small for the price they charge for Casino's or Rockefeller's. Stews don't enough flavor. Too much cream, not enough clam or oyster juice in the stew. Been going here since I young. We drove all the way from Brigantine to eat here. Now I live in Mystic Island and just can't find myself going anymore cause of prices and the quality has gone down. I love and know my seafood. I don't mind spending a lot of money for a good seafood dinner, but not Allen's anymore!!! 😔😢😞

My fiance and I recently celebrated our second anniversary here. It was late, during the week, and almost at closing, so we were the only ones on the outside patio and there was almost noone there...it was perfect...I told her that I reserved the whole place for us. She smiled like believed me...but knew it wasn't true. Her scallops were perfect, the Crab Imperial had the largest peices of Blue Claw in it I've ever seen, and we had the Eagles game streaming on my phone. It was very romantic...it actually really was, we had a great time and the seafood is amazingly fresh. I highly recommend paying this place a visit if you're in the area.

Such a relaxing seafood place! My family had been coming here for over 40 years! We had stopped in the last year's because Mom was Ill . Now we are back at it and there food is just as good. Staff is very friendly n knowledgeable . BYOB your fav wine or beer!

Glad to see they are open again- albeit for takeout. They have excellent fried calimari- it even reheat well.When they open up again, we love the outdoor seating. It's a perfect way to pass a summer evening.

Food was very good. Service was fast and courteous. Prices were reasonable. They had a special appetizer, mac and cheese with crab meat that was excellent.

Outstanding. Top notch seafood selection. Not to overlook the polite, friendly and go out of their way to service you requests. So, my suggestion is to leave the GS Parkway, stop over and enjoy it all for reasonable prices.

They are awesome. We were here for Mother's Day and my Daughter and my Son's girl friend both wanted shrimp salad. They told us they were completely out. They were so disappointed. The waitress went and asked the chef if he could make it special and he did. Thank you so much for making our special day perfect!!!

The food is tasty and fresh. This was our second visit and both were relaxing fun and we will return. Portion sizes are good, definately not small. I like the pleasant staff and hats off to the cook.

Bad customer service. I called this restaurant to see when last seating was. They told me 8:00 PM so I drove 30 mins, got there at 7:49 and they would not seat me. The waitress also was not friendly.

My first time here, but I will come back. I had the boiled combo & have to say ok. My husband had the honey shrimp & corn crab soup that was really good. They have choices on the menu that sound delicious. Easy atmosphere, casual. It is also Byob. I think worth a stop.

Nice environment with good staff and fresh seafood. Inconsistent portions to value. Examples, the bowl for soup is a meal in itself and a bargain. The soft shell crabs were good, however 2 small crabs with fries for $22.00 I considered pricey. Over all a good place fir fresh seafood.
